Hour to Empower Events
WOVEN hosts bi-monthly luncheons and dinners as a gift to the women of Richmond…and beyond. The luncheons are designed to:
- Encourage and Refresh: Helping women know and appreciate their value.
- Have Fun: Providing a time for women, friends and co-workers to enjoy respite from their usual routine.
- Give Free gifts: Each attendee is given a gift and there are additional drawings and prizes during the luncheon.
- Celebrate A Guest of Honor: One woman is chosen for each luncheon and receives an award for having risen above challenges or devastating ci rcumstances or made an extraordinary contribution to others.
- Inspire: A speaker is chosen for each luncheon to tell her story of fulfilling her dreams, overcoming difficulties and stepping into her destiny, inspiring the audience to take the next step to fulfilling theirs as well.
- Provide Networking Opportunities: A place where women can meet other interesting women of value.
- Make a Resource Connection: A place for women to be introduced to WOVEN.

Newly married with a challenging and rewarding career in politics, life was good for Molly. Yet her deepest desire was to have children and stay at home with them. Later she became pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Jackson. Then the unthinkable happened. One Sunday afternoon when Jackson was only five months old, Molly went to his crib to check on him and found he was not breathing. Her journey from that tragic moment to now has included unspeakable pain, the birth of three other children and finally a place of peace and hope that only God can bring.
